Telehandler Forklift Interactive Thorough Examination Guide
In order to abide by both LOLER 98 and PUWER 98 and receive a CFTS-approved Thorough Examination, all parts of your forklift truck must be examined for signs of damage, wear and tear or malfunctions that can jeopardise the safety of the forklift operator and any bystanders. However, there are some inspectors who claim to offer a full Thorough Examination, but in reality are only offering the basic LOLER 98 checks. A fully accredited CFTS Thorough Examiner will scrutinise all elements of your truck.
To help clarify what should be checked on your forklift when undergoing a Thorough Examination, we’ve outlined the checks for a telehandler forklift here in a helpful interactive guide.
